ELITE DANCE

Our elite teams based in Shelby Township, MI will experience a unique blend of dance team, studio dance and pre-professional experiences ranging from USASF regulated dance team competitions to in-house professional master classes, conventions and both professional and collegiate sporting event performances. We believe that when dancers are exposed to multiple avenues of performance opportunities they are best prepared for future auditions both at the collegiate and professional level. 

2025 Jamfest Dance Super Nationals National Champions!

We are proud to announce that our Mini Team has earned a National Championship title at the 2025 Jamfest Dance Super Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky!

2025/26 AUDITION INFORMATION

What to expect at auditions: participants will learn a choreographed combination according to their age on the dates outlined below and will perform the choreography in front of a panel of judges on Sunday, June 1st. Additionally, participants will showcase jazz technique and acrobatic skills throughout the tryout process.

Your judges and coaches will be looking for individuals who embrace feedback, collaborate well, and show a deep passion for dance.

Eligible Dancers are 5+ years old and have the ability and work ethic to focus for prolonged periods of time. 

Audition Fee: $25

AUDITION DATES

Day One Audition (required):

Tuesday, May 27th from 7:15p-8:45p (Ages 10+)

Wednesday, May 28th from 4:45-6:15p (Ages 5-9)

Day Two Audition (recommended):

Thursday, May 29th 4:45-5:45p (Open Practice for all participants)

Day Three Final Audition (required):

Times will be announced for specific groups and ages to return on Sunday, June 1st between the hours of 11:00a-4:00p. Participants should wear ALL BLACK leotard and shorts on the final audition day.

Teamwork at Five Crown is the process of working collaboratively with a group of dancers in order to achieve a goal. Overall, we work together to provide a support system of fellow dancers, teachers, and family.

INTEGRITY

While on the team, displaying integrity involves taking responsibility for one’s actions, showing respect for other team members, and maintaining a positive attitude. Integrity is the act of behaving honorably, even when no one is watching.

PASSION

Passion is a strong and barely controllable emotion & is a key component to any dancer. After the steps are learned, the blood sweat and tears are shed, and it’s time to take the stage, passion is what’s left to give. Without passion, dancing is just steps. Each dancer is given the opportunity to convey a story every time they perform.
